Founder
Libby Whitfield
Inner Source was founded by Libby Whitfield, a Bath‑based mindfulness practitioner, life coach, and sacred space facilitator. Libby used to be a commercial lawyer.
Libby is a mother and stepmother of five, who spent many years in a demanding professional environment, juggling responsibilities, and prioritising the needs of others. Whilst she was professionally successful and appeared to thrive on efficiency and productivity, she felt like she was going through the motions day after day, on auto-pilot.
For Libby, this work became real not through theory, but through lived experience.
At different points in her life, Libby found herself disconnected from parts of herself that once felt natural — her calm, her clarity, her voice, and her sense of meaning. Through slowing down, listening inwardly, and engaging with ancient archetypal patterns that appear across many cultures and traditions, she began to experience these qualities not as abstract ideas, but as felt inner resources.
In earth-based spirituality, similar qualities are often personified as different expressions of feminine wisdom and power — the steady knowing of the Wise Crone, the clear agency of the Fearless Warrior, and the grounded, life-affirming presence of the nurturing Pagan Witch. By exploring what she understands as her own inner goddesses — not as external figures, but as symbolic expressions of inner calm, embodied wisdom, and inner strength — Libby came to feel more whole, empowered, and resourced.
This process did not make her someone new. It allowed her to return to herself — calmer, clearer, and more able to meet life with steadiness rather than effort, and with choice rather than habit.
Inner Source grew from this understanding: that when women are given space to reconnect with these archetypal qualities in a grounded, contemporary, and non-religious way, something quietly profound can unfold. Not transformation in a dramatic sense, but a remembering — of capacities that were always present, waiting to be reawakened.
Libby does not position herself as a therapist, healer or spiritual authority. Her role is to hold clear, well‑boundaried spaces where women can safely reconnect with their own inner resources.
